Basically is just the "repack" of Hitman Pro. I did a test between 2 Hitman Pro & Zemana Anti-Malware and Zemana Anti-Malware detects the same stuffs as Hitman Pro.

For years, Autorun-based malware has been atop of the worldwide e-threat landscape, with notorious representatives such as Trojan.AutorunInf, the Conficker worm (Win32.Worm.Downadup) or Worm.Autorun.VHD.

The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections with autorun-based malware. Even if your storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itself.

The Immunize Computer slider allows you to toggle the autorun feature On or Off for any removable media (except for CD/DVD-ROM devices). If you accidentally plug in an infected USB drive that has not been immunized, the computer will not auto-execute the piece of malware located on the USB storage device.

Comparison: Panda USB Vaccine V.S. Bitdefender USB Immunizer

A while ago, I did introduce 2 software that are able to disable auto-run which are Panda USB Vaccine and NoAutorun. As I didn't really try NoAutorun, I think I will skip it.

So a did a small test on both of the software. Since my computer is "vaccinated" by Panda, I remove it.

And when I try with Bitdefender, it said is immunized. When I check it with Panda, it say I'm not. So I think that Bitdefender only protect to a certain extent as they already mentioned:

"except for CD/DVD-ROM devices" which mean CD/DVD-roms devices are not disabled.

Panda USB Vaccine is disable autorun completely like USB drives or CD/DVD drives which I think is much safer.

Also, Bitdefender USB Immunizer failed to detect my external harddisk but Panda USB Vaccine is able to detect and disable it.

So I guess Panda USB Vaccine is much better than Bitdefender USB Immunizer.

The only difference is Bitdefender USB Immunizer doesn't require and installation to use it while Panda USB Vaccine need to be install before you can use it.

VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms (98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista/7).
It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.
VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.
It is a general utility that can trim and clean up video before exporting to tape or processing with another program.

It does not requires any installation. Just run VirtualDub.exe

So far only AVI files works for me.

User Account Control (UAC) is a security feature of Microsoft Windows Vista that changes the architecture of the access token creation process and prevents users from logging on with full administrative rights.

While the intent of this feature may have been enhanced security, all too often users need administrative rights for routine tasks like installing/updating programs and changing operating system settings. Additionally, many software applications need the appropriate access to run properly. This leads to poor user experiences because UAC always prompts the user on every administrative task. The prompts are slow to display and appear frequently without warning. Also, UAC prompts are confusing and do not provide users with any recommendations. This actually raises security concerns because prompting the user for every action with the intent that the user misses nothing is a false security model. The more a user is prompted, the more likely it is that he or she will dismiss the prompt without reading it.

The net effect is that many users find the UAC security clearance/prompting process annoying, especially those who are a given computer’s sole user and are running the latest Norton Internet Security software.

The Norton User Account Control tool will replace parts of the Windows Vista UAC system. It will utilize the UAC security feature from the Windows Vista architecture, while simultaneously improving user-friendliness significantly. Start a scan process and see the overall situation. Bigger are the elements on the view, bigger are folders and files on your disk. You need more detail on a big folder? Just single click on it. The selected element will be detailed with its content.

Need more and more detail? Keep selecting elements and they'll discover their secrets to you. Need a larger view of a small folder? Then double click on it, and it'll zoom to the full extent of the view.

If you need to understand why no more free space is left on media, keep following bigger elements. Maybe you want to focus only on particular file types... ok. Just type the file typeon the filter field (example: *.jpg) and press enter. The view will react and show you only JPEG files.
Want to exclude files? Then type a starting pipe before the filter (example: |*.jpg) and press enter. The view will show everything but JPEG files.
